PROGRESS: The Narrative presented by TrueVoices Sponsored by the Lehman College Social Work Department.

Progress: The Narrative is an urban poetry slam showcase of young people living in New York City. Progress:The Narrative will showcase the often misunderstood & unheard voices of young people of color living in low-income communities. These stories seek to unpack real life experiences that promote true community leadership and connection to God by Faith. During the civil right movement a large portion of the community organizing happening on the ground came from the Church. This Poetry slam seeks to embody those same values. Progress:The Narrative will be the first poetry showcase of 2016 for TruevoicesNYC.

DATE: Saturday February 20th 2016

PLACE: Lehman College's Lovinger Theater (Theater Building)
